The IEM overseas base is located
in the village of Yaou, which is
near Abidjan Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory
Coast), in West Africa. Abidjan is
the Administrative and
Commercial Capital. At one time,
Abidjan was considered the “Paris
of West Africa,”
It is estimated that there are about
4 to 5 million people in the Abidjan
area, including many migrant
workers from neighboring
countries.
Yaou makes a good location for
the IEM base, because of the
proximity of the International
Airport and the Sea Port. Major
Airlines such as Air France and
SN Brussels make daily and
weekly flights in and out of
Abidjan. The Port also makes it
convenient to import crusade
equipment and other necessary
items.
With our presence in Côte d’Ivoire,
we hope to penetrate this French
speaking country, as well as other
Francophone nations of West
Africa. These nations are in
desperate need of evangelism.
There are new generations of
people who have never heard the
life-saving message of Jesus
Christ.
